Yet Another Reason We Love Living in This City

This past Friday and Saturday, we took Zinashi and Elvie to Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. There were a ton of musicians playing that we wanted to hear, and we want to expose our kids to good live music as often as we are able. Jarod and I divided and conquered with one kid each, going to hear different artists at different times, or one of us taking stroller duty at the back while the other got to see and hear better.

Zinashi had good seats to Elvis Costello with Jarod and to the Lumineers with me.

Elvie napped through Jenny Lewis in my arms and through Les Claypool in Jarod's.

Here Elvie is wondering if anyone but her realizes it's naptime.

It was fantastic, but we forgot that Zinashi can only handle one day of big events at a time, and thus we are still recovering. It probably didn't help that she had a dentist appointment early this week. So we're hitting reset, and I hereby declare Wednesday, October 10, 2012, to be a pajama day.

  2. Yep, all big days here are followed by pj days. Glad you got a good day out! Those are as essential as the pj days.

  5. Glad Zinashi loves the big hair! Olivia missed her dress-up clothes while we were gone so she has been wearing them like crazy since we've been home. I was hoping we would get up to SF while we were in Palo Alto, but it just didn't happen. Maybe next trip out and we can get the girls together!
