It was a good birthday for Elvie. I dressed her in polka dots and ruffles and let her play in the bathroom, which is usually a no-no. We'll have a party in a couple of weeks, but I think she was happy with how today turned out (sugar, a few presents, rocking to sleep like always). If we skipped the party, she wouldn't even miss it, but I know a bunch of other people who would be very disappointed if they didn't get to come by to celebrate Miss Elvie. So we'll just call this the practice cupcake and rest assured that she'll be ready for the next one when the time comes.
