Our bags are mostly packed, Jarod and the girls are asleep, and I am taking advantage of one last night to peruse the internet and read in bed instead of being productive (at least in the sense that I must be productive at home once my children are sleeping). We spent our last day in London gathering souvenirs and eating as much delicious food as possible. We met a friend in Old Spitalfields Market, and she introduced us to Sunday UpMarket nearby, where Zinashi had injera and wat from two different vendors, and I had a mint chocolate macchiato with bits of mint leaves crumbled on top.
We originally intended to go to the Museum of Childhood after our market jaunt, but in the end it was cold and rainy and the walk was too far and blah, blah, blah, we fed squirrels at St. James’s Park again instead. Then we returned to the hotel to have dinner and pack. And thus, vacation ends. We fly out tomorrow around noon.
I’ve got lots more photos and video to share with you, once we are home. There are too many good ones to skip sharing, so I promise I will. For now, though, I’d better get to reading in bed while I’ve got the chance.
