Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Peace and Joy to You and Yours

I am sitting near the Christmas tree, having just played Santa. Our holiday celebration this year is small, but it is just right. Our arms and our hearts are full. It has been a beautiful year, between last Christmas and this one, and we are so grateful that all of you have been along for the ride. If I could, I would send each of you a holiday card. Instead, I will share the front of our card* here. Imagine it has come in the mail, with a gingerbread house postage stamp and a small handwritten note. Happy holidays, dear readers. Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, I wish you all the joy and excitement of the holiday season. May your hearts be full.

*Artwork by my internet-turned-real-life amazing friend Melanie, who I hope will draw for us again next year. You can find her shop here. In addition to beautiful illustrations of children, Melanie also does house portraits. Really, there's something for everyone.

  1. Merry Christmas from our house to yours xxx

  2. Merry Christmas, Mary, Jarod, Zinashi, and Elvie.

  3. That card is amazing--it is the kids, and their life, as you write it, just as I imagine. Beautiful! Happy Holidays, to you, Mary!

  4. SUCH a lovely card. We are away for the holidays, and I am looking forward to going home to my lovely string of cards hanging in the dining nook. Yours is a favorite for sure!
